Sheppard Inn

The new room set up is nice (for the one I was in) where you have a living room and a bedroom, but you can see its age showing with AC breaking down or old carpets. Beds are soft while there's plenty of space to work with the two desk. If the shower was bigger, would helped not feeling cramped.

This AF billeting is very nice. It's lobby is particularly nice and the staff are very helpful. Although the rooms are a bit older, they've been remodeled as suites. The DFAC I'd next door. Also, there's a laundry in the main billeting building.

Don't get me wrong, we really enjoyed our stay here. The suite came with a kitchenette, living/dining area. Bedroom and bath. The furniture is outdated but very clean. Bed was comfortable. You can tell the gal who cleans it takes pride in her work. (We were in room 2513). The reason for the 4 is because it needs updating, the shower is extremely small and the water pressure was not good at all. Would I recommend it? Stay here again? You bet!!

I was fortunate enough to be place in a newly remodeled room. I wasn’t expecting to have a suite. This is by far the nicest place I’ve stayed while in service. Air Force Inns are a treasure that should be held dear and never let go of. The staff was very friendly to me. The rooms were cleaned every other day. There was a small complimentary grab and go breakfast bar. Also, plenty of washing and dryer machines. Just provide your own soap. Great location next to a DFAC and running track. The gym is right across the street. Couldn’t ask for a better spot.

Free daily breakfast items, but nothing too elaborated i.e. fruit, bagels, etc. Gym and dinning facility within walking distance. It also has a shuttle, no cost, service that will take you anywhere on base.

I arrived to Sheppard Inn on July 28, 2022, upon arrival the staff were super friendly and helpful, and I was checked in in less than 5 minutes. I was given a map to get to my room, which was a short walk from the main lobby. I walked into my room and it was clean and smelt good. The room was so big! Every corner was spotless. When you walk in there is the living room, and the “kitchen” area. Around the corner is the bathroom, and then you walk into another part of the room that is the bedroom. The floors were clean and not sticky, and I didn’t experience a single bug unless I was outside. The bed was done up nice and clean as well. I did not feel uncomfortable in this room at all, and I throughly enjoyed the 3 nights I was there. It was very quiet and peaceful during quiet hours. They also offer a shuttle that takes you around the base if you do not want to walk the long distances of going to the bx/commissary, etc. The shuttle will also pick you up from any location on base. I was also able to get snacks and breakfast at their 24/7 convenience store in the main lobby, as well as do my laundry. Overall 10/10 experience.

I was nervous because of the bad reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, there are so many crickets outside, but none got into our room. There was a paper on the desk explaining the issue. There’s not much they can do about that. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean. My only complaint is the room is on the warmer side; it took a while to cool down and the AC didn’t get cooler than about 71 at night. I probably should’ve asked for a fan or brought my own. Overall it was a great stay

The room was comfortable, if dated. Had HVAC issue in the bedroom and needed to keep the window open to control temp and humidity. Staff were outstanding!
